We’re only 6 months into the year and Joe James is already back with his fourth project of 2022 in Crawl. Following the successful hat-trick of Bruce, Pure Connery, and Get Money, Go Missing—which illustrated the breadth of the East LDN rapper’s artistry—Crawl is yet another reminder of Joe James’ mastery in his unique lane.
The 11-track project is only graced with one feature from Luton’s finest, BXKS, showing just how stacked James’ own vault is. One may think that producing so many projects in such a short time may negatively impact the quality of music, but that couldn’t be further from the case here. Crawl, a breezy, grime-tinged offering, is said to be the sequel to Joe’s 2021 project, Jöetry, and features his signature laid-back rhymes over a range of stunning productions.
